Hays County Sheriff deputies are looking for a suspect, possibly in or around the Steeplechase neighborhood in Kyle.
The man, identified as Justin Alan Carroll, 25, of Austin, escaped custody after deputies had arrested him on a warrant for a felony parole violation. Carroll is described as a white male who was wearing a black shirt, black pants and could be possibly in handcuffs. Carroll is 5-feet, 11 inches in height, has black hair and has hazel eyes. Deputies are searching for Carroll in and around the Steeplechase neighborhood.
The incident occurred after deputies had served a warrant on Carroll and placed him into custody in the Key Stone Loop area.
Deputies placed Carroll into the back of a patrol car. It was at that time deputies attended another matter when Carroll managed to escape from a window, while possibly handcuffed, and evaded deputies.
Hays County Lieutenant Jeri Skrocki said HCSO has added a charge of evading arrest and escape along with his warrant on a parole violation.
Residents who see any suspicious people in the area are urged not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
