I’m sure you have all seen the repurposed pallet craze that’s going around in the world.  Well, I’ve taken a stab at it and I may be obsessed….. As soon as I learned how to work the saw, there was no stopping me.   I’m already planning my next projects!  But first…. I’ll share with you my first project, a cool sign to go above our bed.

Once the pallets were taken apart, it really was pretty easy from there.  I nailed each piece of pallet wood to two vertical pieces of pallet wood on the backside, stained it, and with a little pinterest help let my creative juices flow.  I’m sure you can use any kind of paint, but knowing that chalk paint can be used on any surface, that’s what I used.

Sometimes it’s nice to have a little something in your home that was handmade by you to make it feel more cozy.  This was the perfect rainy day project and will be the perfect touch to put above our bed.  I think next I’ll make one for the living room with a big silhouette of Texas!
