For those of you who don’t know me, I am a true Kyle citizen.  Although I was born in Austin, I have lived in the Kyle area nearly all my 28 years. Just a little background:  My grandpa was born in Kyle in 1925 (aka: long time ago!) and is such an inspiration for me to be successful in life.  He owned his own business (Red Simon Ford) for nearly 40 years, he was the President of the school board and helped choose the  location for Jack C. Hays High School, and now is the namesake for D.J. Simon Middle School.  Needless to say, I definitely have some big shoes to fill.

A little about this column: Like many others, I spend too much time on Pinterest and am a total HGTV guru; however, both of these things fit my occupation perfectly!  What do I do?  I am a Real Estate Agent.  Day in and day out I get to help people with some of the greatest milestones of their lives as well as continue to learn about the area I love (what could be better?).  Being in Real Estate is also what brought me to write this blog.

The Nest at its Best is going to be a hodge podge of helpful home tips, some DIY tutorials, and interesting info about the area.  So whether you are looking to sell your home, moving, or just trying to make your home a home, I hope this blog is fun and informative.

Wrapping this up, let’s go back to my grandpa.  He has taught me to always help people whether you get anything out of it or not because you will always get the satisfaction and as the saying goes,”what comes around goes around”.  That being said, I’m starting my journey of filling those big shoes and I hope that you come to me for any help in Real Estate you need even if it’s just a question you need answered.

Enjoy what is to come!
