WHAT: Hays County Flood Victim Resource Event

WHEN: Tuesday, November 5th from 4PM-9PM

WHERE: Barton Jr. High (4950 Jack C. Hays Trail)

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – Persons who were affected by the Halloween floods in Hays County are invited and encouraged to attend an assistance event Tuesday, November 5, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Barton Junior High School, 4950 Jack C. Hays Trail (FM 2770). Organizations that can provide assistance such as the American Red Cross, Hays County Food Bank, United Methodist Church Disaster Response, Baptist Ministries Disaster Relief and others will be available to explain what types of assistance each can offer.

A contact list of agencies will be available soon on the Hays County web site, www.co.hays.tx.us and at County Precinct Offices, the Hays County Courthouse and the Hays County Government Center, as well as many other locations.

We’re encouraging flood victims to come in person to the event if they are able to,” said Hays County Emergency Management Coordinator Kharley Smith. “Victims will be able to visit with the different agencies at one time and in one place to find out what assistance is available for their individual situation. We think it will be much easier than trying to email or call individual agencies.”
