**UPDATE**

For the sake of relaying the information we get from the most reliable sources we currently have, below is what we have so far. It might seem contradicting, so we apologize for that.

Per the city of Kyle’s public works:

 

Updated at 11:00 am – Most roads are now starting to clear. Please practice extreme caution if you drive today. So not enter areas where water covers the road as the road may be damaged. Do not go around barricades into low water crossings. Turn around, don’t drown.

The following roads are reported closed due to high water.

  • Lehman Road, south low water crossing
  • Northbound I 35 access road at Saddlecreek Apartments *
  • ​Windy Hill at Indian Paintbrush Dr.*
  • Kelly Smith Lane

*These roads have sustained flood damage and will be closed for an extended period of time. City crews will expedite the repairs and try to have the roads open as soon as possible.

Below here is the “official” list of closed roads in Kyle from the “official” website for Hays County Emergency Services —

  • Green Pastures Dr between Thunderhead & Country Ln
  • Anders Crossing @ Windy Hill
  • Dacy Lane – between Apple Blossom & Kelly Smith
  • Dacy Lane – 3000 block
  • Dacy Lane – between Windy Hill & Beebee Rd
  • FM 2770 @ Plum Creek
  • Windy Hill – washed out
  • FM 2001 – 2000 to 2400 block
  • FM 2001 @ Windy Hill
  • Goforth Rd – north of Rhode Rd
  • Goforth Rd – 3500 block, washed out
  • Goforth Rd – 6700 block, water over road
  • Mathias
  • Palomino
