It’s a shame really, “Kyle needs mo’ Bacon!” would have made such a great campaign slogan.
This candidate seems to understand what makes Kyle tick with his statement regarding its history and affordability attracting people and economic development. We have, hwever, made progress on both roads and water. People who haven’t lived here long might not know that Kyle Parkway and FM 1626 (to FM 967) once did not exist. And other roads have been vastly improved (Dacy, Kohler’s, Dry Hole, etc). And the HCPUA has been working for years for new sources of water.
But, all in all, he seems to have done his homework. I’m just still worried about how we can attract new businesses – or residents – with a potential .70 tax rat resulting from theses road bonds. But at least Bacon seems hesitant about issuing them if that would actually be the case. That’s something….
