Fishing Tournament Format & Rules:
When the horn sounds for all to start fishing, we start fishing. When a large-mouth bass has been landed, participant must bring the live fish to the nearest weigh-in station. The weigh-in judge will weigh the bass, record the time the first bass is weighed and the weight of the fish. The weight will be “rounded up” to the next full pound. Each pound equals 1 point. (Example – a fish weighing in at 1 pound 3 ounces is rounded up to next pound, 2 pounds, and that fish receives 2 points. Another fish weighs in at 4 pounds 0 ounces, that fish receives 4 points) The time the first bass was weighed by the judge will be the tie breaker – the first one weighed will be the head-to-head tie breaker. All other ties will be coin flip. Must have Valid Texas Freshwater Fishing License at Check-In, or no fishing. One Pole per person in the water at a time and all fishing in Lake Kyle is from the bank or pier only, no wade fishing. No nets or stringers permitted. No fishing permitted from the “out of bounds” areas marked and identified before tournament. All battery and fuel-powered vehicles are to remain at designated parking area.
