Sake at Pho Thaison’s www.kylelife.com

There aren’t a ton of options in Kyle, TX for going out and having a drink. Pho Thaison’s Vietnamese Cuisine is one of the few establishments in town with a full bar. I am normally only a beer drinker and had a draft Kirin Ichiban; it was like an eastern Bud Light. The prices were very reasonable at $2.50 domestics, $3.50 imports, and mixed drinks were $4-6.

Since they had it, we decided to get sake to wash down the beer. Historically, I haven’t been a huge fan, and this experience didn’t change my mind! If you haven’t tried sake before, I suggest giving it a shot; heated was more enjoyable than room temperature.

The amount of seating at Pho Thaison’s was less than that of Casa Garcia’s, but it was also less crowded so we didn’t have any trouble getting a bar stool on Friday night. Pho closes at 10pm, so be prepared to make it an early night.
